The Remember Series - Shanice Sula

Becoming a wife and a mum at a young age shaped so much of who I am today. It meant stepping into responsibility earlier than most and learning quickly how to navigate life. I had to teach myself new things, like cooking meals that connected me to my Samoan heritage, while also discovering how to manage a home and a family. During that season, I leaned heavily on my culture and my faith, which gave me the strength and resilience I needed. Those experiences taught me the importance of family, the depth of commitment, and the necessity of trusting God to guide me through every challenge.

Right now, I’m not focused on chasing one particular dream. Instead, I’m choosing to walk in the plan God has for me, believing that His purpose is far greater than anything I could design for myself. My motivation comes from my faith, from trusting that even when I don’t see the full picture, His guidance is enough and His path is always good.

Life has tested me in many different ways, and while I don’t often share every detail, those trials pushed me to rely fully on my faith and to draw strength from God and from my husband’s support. Taking each day as it came, leaning into prayer, and trusting that God was holding me through it all gave me the courage to keep moving forward, even when the road ahead felt uncertain.

When things do get tough, it’s my faith in God that always brings me back to center. It reminds me that I am never alone and that there is always hope. Alongside that, my little family is my biggest source of motivation, they are my purpose and my strength, the reason I keep pressing on.

The person I am today is shaped by God, my family, friends, culture and faith. They’ve taught me love, respect, and community, grounding me in gratitude, humility, and confidence in who God created me to be.
