The Remember Series - Mia Austreng

The Remember Series - Mia Austreng

From ages 3 to 9, I lived in Togo. Growing up in a culture different from my own, while being half Filipina, shaped me deeply. It taught me how to adapt, how to appreciate the beauty in simplicity and how to connect with people from all walks of life. That time in my life planted early roots of resilience and self-awareness that still guide everything I do today.

There were seasons where I felt overlooked and undervalued in relationships and in workplaces. Learning to speak up even when it was hard became a turning point. Leaving a secure job to start my own business was one of the scariest things I’ve done. But I trusted the process, leaned into the unknown and found my rhythm. I’ve built a community I love and leaned on the support of my husband, family, friends and the amazing clients who remind me why I started.

Through health and fitness, I’ve found a purpose bigger than myself. I want to help others embrace who they are and see what’s possible when you lead with authenticity and self-acceptance.

To me, strength looks like choosing yourself. It looks like protecting your peace, growing with intention and remembering where you came from so you can move forward with courage and help others do the same.

Lately, I’ve felt a deeper pull to reconnect with my Filipino roots and the quiet strength of the women in my family. They are resilient and selfless, and I carry that with me. Every part of my story has shaped me into someone who leads with integrity, honors my roots and helps others feel seen and strong.
